Rockstar Games GTA 6: New Development Footage Leaks Online — But It Reveals Almost Nothing New

watch Now

Over the weekend, a few short clips of Rockstar Games’ GTA 6 development footage briefly appeared online before being quickly removed. While GTA 6 has experienced massive and damaging leaks in the past, this latest leak is far from significant — and surprisingly, part of it had already been shown in an official screenshot.

What Was in the New GTA 6 Leak?

The new clips were discovered on Vimeo, uploaded by a developer who has previously worked on several Rockstar projects. The animation reel contained three short snippets clearly labeled as GTA 6 development footage.

As expected, the video was swiftly taken down, but not before the internet mirrored and spread the clips across social media. Each clip was extremely short and appeared to be recorded on a basic test map.

Game Clip 1: Bike Rental Animation

The first clip shows a male character placing a bike into a rental rack and removing it again. The bicycle is labeled LomBike,” a likely parody of real-world LimeBike rental bicycles. This isn’t surprising at all for Rockstar Games GTA 6, especially because the exact same bike rental system already appeared in an official GTA 6 screenshot released earlier this year.

Game Clips 2 & 3: Lucia’s Pickup Truck Animations

The other two snippets show a female character — presumably Lucia, one of the game’s main protagonists — stepping out of the back of a pickup truck in different animation stages. The clips are basic, incomplete, and reveal nothing noteworthy about gameplay or mechanics.

Do the Leaks Reveal Anything New?

In truth, not really. These short animation tests simply confirm things players already expected:

  • Yes, you can rent bikes in GTA 6 — Rockstar already teased it.
  • Yes, you can jump out of vehicles — a standard feature in Grand Theft Auto games.

These animations are clearly early work-in-progress versions, and once Rockstar Games GTA 6 is fully polished, the final animations will be far more detailed and impressively realistic, as the studio is known for.

Context: Recent Fake GTA 6 Gameplay Hoaxes

This small leak comes shortly after a viral AI-generated “GTA 6 gameplay leak” that fooled many players before being revealed as a social experiment. With Rockstar delaying Trailer 3 and fans already anxious for updates, the community is quick to latch onto anything that looks remotely new.

While the new leak may sound exciting, it adds virtually nothing to what we already know about Rockstar Games GTA 6. Still, fan anticipation continues to grow as we wait for official updates. In the meantime, you can explore more about the GTA 6 delay, trailer expectations, and how the internet has reacted to every new piece of news surrounding the game.
